I specialize in brief and longer-term psychotherapy with individuals seeking to improve coping with immediate stressors and concerns and/or wishing to create deeper, lasting changes in their lives and relationships. My personal style is interactive, empathic, and respectful of individual values and choices.

I am bicultural and enjoy working with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds (hablo español). I enjoy working with adults of all ages, but specialize in working with younger adults and people with little or no previous therapy experience.

Therapy provides a safe, non-judgmental setting in which to discuss thoughts and feelings you might not feel free to share with friends and relatives. I use my skills and experience to help you discover and change unconscious patterns that may be interfering with your goals, relationships, and personal growth.

Some of the issues I can help with are depression, anxiety, relationship problems, aging, and grief (specialized training and  experience in grief counseling). I can provide the practical and emotional support needed during challenging life-stage transitions.  Please see the Specializations page for additional information.

Please call or email me to set up an initial appointment or to schedule a brief free phone consultation.

Please note: I do not work directly with insurance companies, but I can provide you with monthly statements to send to your insurance company for out-of-network provider reimbursement. If finances are a concern for you, please ask whether I have any sliding scale spots available.
