I specialize in brief and longer-term psychotherapy with individuals seeking to improve coping with immediate stressors and concerns and/or wishing to create deeper, lasting changes in their lives and relationships. My personal style is interactive, empathic, and respectful of individual values and choices.
I am bicultural and enjoy working with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds (hablo español). I enjoy working with adults of all ages, but specialize in working with younger adults and people over 60, as well as those with little or no previous therapy experience.
Therapy provides a safe, non-judgmental setting in which to discuss thoughts and feelings you might not feel free to share with friends and relatives. I use my skills and experience to help you discover and change unconscious patterns that may be interfering with your goals, relationships, and personal growth.
Some of the issues I can help with are depression, anxiety, relationship problems, and grief (specialized training and experience in grief counseling).
I can provide the practical and emotional support needed during challenging life-stage transitions. Please see the Specializations page for additional information.

Please call or email me to set up an initial appointment or to schedule a brief free phone consultation.
Note: I do not work directly with insurance companies, but I can provide you with monthly statements to send to your insurance company for out-of-network provider reimbursement. If finances are a concern for you, please ask whether I have any sliding scale spots available.
